Tuitions & Aids

The total, upfront cost of attending Parami Leadership Program without financial aid is $3000 USD for the full year.

Why does it cost this much?

Parami Institute is a non-profit organization. This means that our tuition costs do not make us a profit; rather, they ensure that we can continue to bring quality education to students across Myanmar. The vast majority of our students are on partial or full scholarships. We only ask students and families to pay the full tuition costs if they can afford it.

The tuition fees include all course materials, textbooks, printing costs, and facilities. They also cover the food and transportation costs for all school-related trips and activities, including the week-long research trip that all students go on mid-program.

We are committed to making sure that all students can afford to attend the Parami Leadership Program.

We offer a comprehensive financial aid program that all students are eligible to apply for. Scroll down to see how we do that.

After a student is admitted to PLP, they are eligible to apply for need-based financial aid. Students who would like to apply will be sent a comprehensive form that asks about their family's financial situation. We award financial aid based on demonstrated need, rather than merit.

We will work with each student and their family to determine the appropriate amount of scholarship to give. Nearly 75% of our students are on full or partial scholarships.

Money should not stop anyone from attending or applying to Parami.

of students receive financial aid

For students who are coming from outside of Yangon, the cost of living here is a major financial barrier. For that reason, Parami has a number of nearby student apartments (less than 10 minute walk from campus) that students may apply for as part of their application for financial aid.

Similarly, as part of financial aid packages, we will provide students with living stipends to support them during their time at Parami.

Eligibility for housing and stipends are both evaluated as part of a student's financial aid application.

We will work with each student to develop a payment plan that suits their financial situation. Many students pay in monthly installments throughout the program.
