In the wake of the recent earthquake in Myanmar, Parami University continues to stand in solidarity with the affected communities, thanks to the swift support of global donors. To express gratitude and provide transparency on the ongoing relief efforts, Parami University hosted a special Global Donor Town Hall, bringing together 10 dedicated donors worldwide for a virtual gathering.
During the session, the Director of Advancement presented an overview of the emergency relief initiatives made possible through donor contributions. From immediate response efforts to longer-term support strategies, the presentation highlighted how every donation has played a critical role in reaching those most in need.
The town hall also featured first-hand accounts from Parami staff and students from the Community Development Cohort (CDC), who have been actively involved in on-ground relief. Their stories of resilience, compassion, and commitment painted a vivid picture of the challenges faced and the lives touched by their efforts.
Donors praised the extraordinary resilience and unity of the Parami community in responding to the disaster. Their words of encouragement underscored the collective action's power and the timely support's profound impact.
Donors and supporters were moved by the strength and solidarity shown by the Parami community. They expressed that this response to this crisis exemplifies the spirit of compassion and leadership that inspires them to continue supporting Parami’s work.
As the university moves forward in recovery efforts, Parami remains committed to transparency, collaboration, and, most importantly, the well-being of students, staff, and their communities.
