Parami and DataCamp Donates partnership: Providing inclusive educational opportunities



The Parami Liberal Arts & Sciences Fund (PLASF) has recently partnered with DataCamp Donates to provide educational opportunities to individuals who aspire to advance their careers in data science, AI, statistics, and machine learning. Thanks to this collaboration, participants will have free access to more than 510 DataCamp courses, opening doors to learning and professional growth opportunities.


PLASF, in collaboration with Parami University, is dedicated to delivering education to underserved students, particularly through online courses for large youth cohorts. By joining forces with DataCamp Donates, PLASF now becomes part of a global network of over 200 partner organizations that share the mission of expanding access to high-quality education.


DataCamp Donates has already awarded over 100,000 scholarships to learners from over 180 countries across six continents, empowering individuals to gain the skills needed for some of today's most in-demand careers. This partnership further amplifies PLASF's commitment to providing inclusive educational opportunities.


Course Highlights

DataCamp offers a comprehensive selection of courses, covering beginner to advanced levels, in key technologies such as Python, R, SQL, Power BI, Docker, and more. Whether learners are just starting or looking to master specialized fields like Data Engineering, AI, or Machine Learning, there's something for everyone.

Highlighted courses include:

  • Introduction to Python: Ideal for beginners taking their first steps in coding.

  • Supervised Machine Learning: Designed for those ready to tackle more complex concepts.

  • Natural Language Processing: A deep dive into working with human language data.


With self-paced learning, participants can progress through the material at their own speed, making it easy to fit coursework into their busy lives.


Parami's Support: More Than Just Courses

Recognizing that mastering data science can be challenging, Parami is providing extra support for participants:

  • Study groups: Led by Parami, these will foster collaboration and make completing courses easier.

  • Guest speaker sessions: Industry experts will share practical knowledge and offer real-world insights to enhance the learning experience.


How to Apply

Applications are open until Monday, October 21st, 2024. Interested individuals can apply through the following application form. Shortlisted candidates will be invited for interviews.


Eligibility

The DataCamp Donates initiative was launched in 2020 to provide free education to those impacted by financial hardship, people living in conflict or disaster-affected areas, and nonprofit researchers working with environmental or health-related data.
