The Dean’s List Award at Parami University is awarded to students who demonstrate outstanding dedication, perseverance, and academic achievement.

This year, sixteen junior and sophomore students received the Dean's List: Naing Min Khant, Pann Ei Thwel, Ming Thet Paing, Kaung Myat Phyo (Kelvin), Chaw Su Hlaing, The The Zuu Zin, Myo Myint Maung Maung, Htet Khant Linn, Mozart Brang, Hnin Ei Wai Lwin, May Mon Thant, Khu David Ta Keh, Ei Phyu Sin Win, ShinThant Min, Khin Yadana Kyaw and Yamin Aung Hlaing Oo.

"Goodhart's law says that when a measure becomes a target, it ceases to be a good measure." It is not just about a number; it is about recognizing the work that you have done.” Dr. Phil Enns, the Dean of Academic Affairs at Parami University, shared his words of motivation with the students at the awarding ceremony.

What does this honor mean to the award recipients, and what advice do they wish to share with their peers aiming for the same distinction?

Myo Myint Maung Maung: Celebrating Hard Work and Collaboration

For Myo Myint Maung Maung, a second-year student, the Dean’s List is more than an individual achievement—it’s a testament to the collective effort of students, professors, and university staff.

“This award symbolizes hard work, perseverance, and a commitment to educational excellence. It reaffirms my academic dedication and inspires me to pursue higher goals.”

His advice for aspiring students includes embracing peer review, leveraging academic advising, and understanding the unique expectations of instructors. Myo also highlights the value of a logical framework introduced by Professor Dan, known as the "QT" rubric, to structure academic papers.

Kaung Myat Phyo (Kelvin): Recognition Beyond GPA

Kelvin, a junior-year student, views the Dean’s List as more than a reflection of high grades.

“To me, this award means my efforts are formally acknowledged by my university. It also helps me feel embraced and supported. The Dean’s List represents all students who contribute positively to the university."

Kelvin reminds peers to see this recognition as an indicator of academic success and meaningful contributions to the university community.

The The Zuu Zin: Perseverance Through Doubt

For The The, a junior-year student, the journey toward academic success has been filled with triumphs and challenges.

“This award reminds me that my efforts aren’t in vain—that despite doubts, my work has value, and I am making progress.”

The recognition serves as motivation to persist, even during moments of uncertainty or frustration. She encourages fellow students to trust in their dedication and embrace the process.

Hnin Ei Wai Lwin: Confidence and Balance

Hnin Ei, a second-year student, sees the Dean’s List as a milestone in her academic journey, strengthening her resolve to keep pushing toward her dreams.

"This award shows my dedication and limitless effort. It boosts my confidence and motivates me to keep trying, even in tough situations.”

Her advice to the students is to maintain consistency and resilience, seek help when needed, and balance studies with extracurricular activities and self-care.

The Dean’s List reflects not only exceptional academic performance but also the resilience, collaboration, and well-rounded efforts of Parami students. Their journeys remind us all that success comes not just from achieving high grades but from embracing challenges, seeking support, and striving for growth.

To all aspiring students: trust the process, seek feedback, and stay balanced. Your efforts will be worth it.
