Parami Adopts the Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals to Improve ICT Infrastructure

While operating and offering classes remotely, Parami has expanded the use of technology for effective learning and communication. Starting from Fall 2021, Parami is adopting the Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals to provide information and communication infrastructure (ICT) services to all members of the institution.

The Google Workspace for Education Fundamentals contains many Google tools that support student and teacher collaboration. An email associated with Parami University will now be provided to every teacher and student so that they can access a whole institutional-wide suite of user-friendly tools and features such as Peardeck, Nearpod, Trello, and so on. This development will improve digital learning, boost productivity, and enhance collaboration among students and teachers.

In addition to the helpful features and tools, the Google Workspace for Education allows the synchronization of Google with other platforms such as Canvas LMS and Zoom. The Google and Canvas integration, for example, enables assignment submission via Google Docs. Meanwhile, users can schedule Zoom meetings from Google Calendar.

As remote learning and working can be challenging at times, setting up the right ICT tools and software is essential to help improve the virtual learning environment as well as workflow across the institution better. Parami University will continue to explore and invest in modern ICT tools and software that enhance teaching and learning.
