Inaugural Board of Trustees for Parami University Established

The Board of Trustees (BoT) is an official governing body of the university, overseeing the strategic planning as well as the overall growth and well-being of Parami University. The trustees of the board agree to responsibilities and roles written in the terms of reference (ToR). The trustees will have legal and fiduciary responsibilities to ensure the school’s mission, objectives, and services. In addition, the BoT will advise and hold the senior management personnel of the institution accountable.

Parami University has now formed a Board of Trustees with 14 distinguished and recognized local and foreign individuals. The trustees have diverse expertise in academic, non-profit sectors, business, and legal sectors. The trustees have supported the mission and visions of Parami University since 2016 and have shown their dedication through advising, investing time, and financial support. By having distinguished individuals from diverse expertise in the board, Parami University can ensure its long-term sustainable development and relevant impact on the society. The Board of Trustees assumed their official duties on October 1, 2020.

During the first Inaugural Board of Trustees meeting, Mr. Zali Win was elected as the Chair of the Board. Mr. Aung Kyaw Moe and Ms. Nang Kham Noung were elected as Vice-Chair 1 and Vice-Chair 2, respectively. During the meeting, the trustees reviewed and approved the constitution and by-laws of the Board as well as appointed the President of Parami University, Dr. Kyaw Moe Tun. Under the leadership of the Board Chair and Vice-Chairs, the Standing and the Ad Hoc Committees will be formed to work and fulfill the mission and sustainable goals of Parami University.
