Position: Admissions and Financial Aid Officer

Report to: Admissions and Student Affairs Director

1. DESCRIPTION OF PARAMI UNIVERSITY

 

Parami University is a private non-profit higher education institution currently offering a variety of high-quality online courses and programs to students of Myanmar from diverse experiences and backgrounds since 2017. We recruit and provide educational opportunities to students from a diverse array of religious and ethnic backgrounds and have an equally diverse set of experiences. The curriculum in the program is based on liberal arts education with courses in Social Sciences, Humanities, Arts, and Natural Sciences. While the courses are all provided online, we are still able to offer quality education with increased accessibility through innovative educational technologies, as well as provide additional support for students with workshops, events, and extracurricular activities. We are currently looking for an Admissions and Financial Aid Officer to support our undergraduate recruitment efforts and manage questions and calls from the various individuals who are interested in our programs.

2. JOB SUMMARY

Parami University is looking for a detail-oriented and motivated Admissions and Financial Aid Officer to work on admissions records and student recruitment. This position will require organizational and communication (verbal and written) skills to handle both internal and external communication. The Admissions and Operations Officer should be adaptable to changes, open to learning, and able to work independently. The officer will work closely with the Student Information System Manager as well as Student Affairs and Communications Teams.

3. POSITION REQUIREMENTS

(1) A bachelor’s degree or relevant diploma in the related field;

(2) Fluency in Burmese and English;

(3) Ability to gather data, compile information, and prepare reports;

(4) Independent worker with strong attention to detail;

(5) Familiarity with working with online tools, such as Zoom, Google Forms, and Microsoft Excel;

(6) Excellent communication, customer service, and problem-solving skills;

(7) Ability to travel during the recruitment period if assigned;

(8) At least one year of relevant experience;

4. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES

 

(1) Have knowledge of recruitment, enrollment, programs, and course requirements;

(2) Collect, maintain, and update admissions records and files and compile admissions reports;

(3) Provide presentations and information sessions to prospective students;

(4) Handle requests, complaints, and questions regarding students, admissions, policies, operations and other educational opportunities, as appropriate;

(5) Follow up and check in with students for inquiries through online meetings, phone calls, and email;

(6) Work regularly with Admissions, Registrar, and Institutional Advancement teams on student data and reports;
